Japanese Vice Minister for Trade and Industry, Kenji Knodo has promised to extend every co-operation to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in all its future endeavours aimed at promoting business ties. He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of an exhibition of Pakistani merchandise held in Japan.
According to the LCCI spokesman, the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce, Japan, in collaboration with Japan International Co-operation Agency (Jica) and Pakistan embassy in Japan have arranged the exhibition, which would continue till November 9.
Knodo said that he was putting in his best efforts to promote Pakistan-Japan business relations. He said Pakistan was his second home and its economic well being is on the top of his duties. The Acting Ambassador paid rich tributes to Jica for conducting an exhibition that would help introduce Pakistan merchandise gett a place in Japanese market.
The LCCI Executive Committee Member, Muhammad Riaz said that Pakistan does not need any sort of international aid but the solution to all its ills is trade and Japanese businessmen should come forward to do business with their Pakistan counterparts that would lead them on road to progress and prosperity.
He said that Pakistani salt is best in the world but Japan is importing the product from India. It is pertinent to mention that India imports salt from Pakistan and exports to Japan. He urged Japanese businessmen to deal directly with Pakistani exporters rather than importing from India. Further, Riaz appreciated the Commercial Consular, Hamid Rehman for co-operation in holding of the exhibition of Pakistani products.
