The President, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL), Zaka Ashraf has instructed the bank authorities to release additional funds for boosting the government's initiative of driving 'Grow more wheat' campaign. Ashraf visited various areas of Punjab on Friday and addressed the problems of the farmers.
He also instructed the concerned bank authorities to implement the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari's policy of economic revival through agricultural growth specifically being focused by the said campaign.
The ZTBL President further directed that all agri-loan cases should be approved within no time and any excuse for lack of funds will not be tolerated. He said that the present wheat crisis was the result of ill-planned policies of the previous Government. 'We could overcome the situation by facilitating our farmers with timely provision of agriculture credit without any hurdle,' he said. Later the ZTBL President reviewed the performance of Zonal Office in Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur and Muzaffargarh and made progressive evaluation of bank's operation to facilitate the farmers in line with the Government's initiatives.
