The Karachi Port handled 135,739 tonnes of cargo including 70,202 tonnes of import, 65,537 tonnes of export cargo and 4,510 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The freights comprised of 118,354 tonnes of dry cargo including 72,048 tonnes of general cargo; 12,504 tonnes of wheat; 20,051 tonnes of coal; 11,508 tonnes of cement; 2,243 tonnes of rice and 17,385 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely St. James Park, Gregos, Harmony, OEL Transworld and Hawk sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Seven vessels viz Sima Sahba, Ym Inauguration, Fening Hai, Clean Sea, Sea Bridge, Capriole and Harmony are currently at the berths. Eight ships namely Capriole, Hyundai Admiral, Nayab-1, Team Al-Emirates, OBS Anita, Pequod, Sima Sahba and Ym Inauguration expected to sail on Saturday while another three vessels viz MT Johar, Soon Fu and Thuringia Express expected to sail on Sunday.
Six ships namely Sichem Defender, X-Press Khyber, Alexi-III, Adriatic Arrow, Caribbean Carrier and Tan Binh 26 due to arrive on Saturday while four ships namely Loa, Stadt Koin, H H Tide and Gulf Bridge are due to arrive on Sunday. Seven vessels viz Long Fin, Bunga Teratai-3, AS Mars, Sea Albatross, OBS Swathy, Atlantic Express and Great Hope are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 28,279 tonnes including 23,947 tonnes of import 4,332 tonnes of export cargo and 958 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday. The cargoes comprised of 6,470 tonnes of wheat; 7,081 tonnes of palm oil; 1,441 tonnes live stock and 13,287 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Five ships namely MV Karavador, CV Dubai Express, CV CMA CGM Sambhar, CV Saudi Diriyah and CV Al-Manakh sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another two ships namely MV Kolocep and MV Bison Express expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of fifteen ships namely Voc Progress, Darya Radhe, Pearl River, Tai Han Hai, Gladiator, Sulawesi, Chem Route Sun, Chariotte, Al-Salam-II, Iran Tabas, Alpha Afovos, MSC Lucia, Gan Bake San, Aqua Star and Musan carrying wheat, palm oil, diesel oil, iron ore, coke, containers and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz CV Saudi Diriyah, CV Al-Manakh, MV Maria, MV Kolocep, MT Royal Aqua and MV Bison Express are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, palm oil and live stock respectively during the report period.
Five ships namely CV MSC Lucia, CV Miyunhe, MV Tai Han Hai, MV Iran Tabas and MT Ginga Tiger carrying containers, wheat, iron ore and phosphoric acid are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, Iron Ore & Coal Berth and Engro Terminal respectively on Saturday. Oil tanker MT Stella with 65,000 tonnes furnace oil is due to arrive on Saturday.
