Three more industrial associations have announced on Sunday their support for Associate and Corporate Class candidates of PIAF-Founders Alliance for the forthcoming Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) polls.
The Chairman, Lahore Township Industrial Association (LTIA) Amjad Ali Jawa, Chairman, Ferozepure Road Industrial Association, Naseer Butt and President, Kahna Kacha Industrial Association, Mehmood Akhtar have announced their support for PIAF-Founders Alliance at a breakfast meeting arranged by renowned industrialist, Malik Abid at his Model Town residence.
Corporate Class Candidates, Mian Muzaffar Ali, Tahir Javaid Malik, Mohammad Imran Khan, Haroon Shafique Chaudhry, Syed Mohammad Umair, Mirza Javaid Iqbal, Kashif Younis Mehr, Syed Mahmood Ghaznavi, Shahzad Azam Khan, Munir Ahmed Bhatti, Imtiaz Ahmad, Mohammad Arshad Baig, Siddiq-ur-Rehman Rana, Shakeel Ahmad and Tariq Mahmood were also present in the breakfast meeting.
The Chairman, Township Industrial Association, Amjad Ali Jawa while announcing his support for the Alliance candidates, said that Alliance had always brought forward right candidates for the LCCI polls and they were thankful to the LCCI office-bearers, who during the whole year worked with there Association in unison.
He said that when the Association raised its voice against multiple taxes, the LCCI joined hands with the LTIA and got the issue resolved in an amicable manner.
Naseer Butt, said in his speech that it was the PIAF-Founders Alliance that helped his Association in expediting work on the dualisation of Ferozepure Road. He said that the whole Association is at the beck and call of the Alliance, as they want right people at right place so that the economy could be back on rails at the earliest.
President, Kahna Kacha Association, Mehmood Akhtar paid rich tributes to the Alliance leadership for revision in power tariff. He said that the Alliance by convening All Pakistan Trade Bodies Conference at LCCI on October 28, 2008 conveyed the standpoint of business community over the issue to the government and got that resolved.
Further, 'This was the leadership that makes the difference and on November 18 and November 19 all the members would be standing with PIAF-Founders' Candidates,' he believed.
Akhtar said that the Alliance had introduced energetic and well-experienced candidates for the forthcoming LCCI polls, who would prove to be a helping hand to the business community after winning the elections.
The PIAF Founders Alliance leaders Mian Shafqat Ali, Mian Anjum Nisar, Iftikhar Ali Malik, Sheikh Mohammad Arshad, Mian Misbahur Rehman, Mian Mohammad Ashraf and Sheikh Mohammad Asif, at the end of the meeting expressed gratitude to the participants for sparing their time for the Alliance.
