Speaker National Assembly would on Monday announce the formation of Parliamentary Committee (PC) to oversight the joint-resolution at the end of the in-camera session. The announcement would be made by NA Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza at a press conference at the Parliament House.
After the joint session of both the Houses, it was proposed to form a parliamentary committee to oversight the resolution passed by the Parliament on the national security strategy. Earlier, the NA Speaker had completed consultation process with the parliamentarian leaders of all the political parties at different meetings.
According to the sources, the committee would be headed by Leader of the House in Senate and Federal Minister for Inter-provincial Coordination Raza Rabbani. The members include Senator Ishaq Dar, Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi, Wasim Sajjad, Khursheed Shah, Prof. Khurshid Ahmed of Jamat-e-Islami, Haider Abbas Rizvi and others.
