Action against politicians if found involved in foreign scam: Tarin

Advisor on Finance Shaukat Tarin has said that strict action will be taken if politicians are found involved in illegal transfer of dollars, along with Munaf Kalia and Javed Khanani.
Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, he said that no one was above the law. He said that Munaf Kalia and Javed Khanani were arrested on the advice of State Bank, and investigations were in progress.
He said that there were no hard conditions imposed by IMF against national interest for availing loan facility. He said that friendly countries like Saudi Arabia, China and several others had assured of their full co-operation to overcome the economic crisis.
He said he would try his best to provide relief to the masses. He said that efforts were on to further provide relief to the people due to decreased prices of oil. He said in the next few months the prices of items of daily use would go down considerably. The Finance Advisor said he did not know how big amount of dollars had been illegally transferred from the country.
