A group of 169 Sikh Yatrees on a PIA flight PK-758 aircraft arrived here on Monday from London to attend the 540th Birth Anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak. According to a PIA's spokesman the Yatrees were offered flowers and bouquet and given a warm welcome by PIA Station Manager Sohail Raja, Assistant Station Manager Moonis Naqvi and other PIA officials on arrival.
The celebration would start from November 11. Around 6000 Sikh yatrees are expected to arrive from India and other countries by train, other airlines. UK is an important hub for the national airline. PIA has made special arrangements for the handling of Sikh yatrees at UK, other foreign stations and in Pakistan.
