After the killing of activists of two different political parties, the firing incidents and violent protest demonstration on Monday gripped the whole city. According to details, 30-year-old activist of Sunni Tehrik (ST) Furqan Attari son of Shamim Khan, resident of Sector H, Muslim Town, New Karachi was gunned down last night by unknown assailants.
In another incident, two activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were shot dead by unknown culprits at Hammar Yasir Society, Phase-I, Malir last night. Due to the killing of these party workers, the activists of both parties (ST and MQM) staged protest demonstration on various roads of the metropolis.
Information of firing incidents was also reported in various part of the city including Lyari, Malir, Saddar, Boultan Market, Numaish and Nishter Park. The activists of MQM blocked the markets, burnt tyres near Kala Board and Malir Halt. The workers of Sunni Tehrik also staged demonstration in various parts of the metropolis.
