An autopsy of Zambian lady, Mocasu Margrette was conducted at Nishtar Hosptal, Multan to find out the cause of her death. Meanwhile, the District and Session court of Multan has appointed the judicial magistrate, Amjad Shoaib Khan as the inquiry officer, who recorded the statements of the doctors on Monday.
Margrette was arrested from Multan airport by Anti-narcotics force on the charge of smuggling drugs. The woman was seven-month pregnant but her baby died in the womb. She died during operation. The Assistant Superintendent, Prison, Rehana Adleeb told that the lady had a three-month pregnancy at the time she was shifted to prison by the Anti-narcotics force on May 12,2008.
She moved for bail on and was produced before the court on October 31st. Lady Doctor, Naila Siddiqui said, 'She was admitted to jail hospital on September 23 and then on November 7. 'She started bleeding from the nose and was immediately removed shifted to hospital where she died,' Naila said.
