Chairman, The Founders, Munir Ahmed Khan, has demanded that the government should take steps to boost the confidence of local investors, instead of seeking loan from International Monetary Fund (IMF) with its anti-people conditionalities.
In a meeting held in connection with election campaign here on Monday, he said that the government is not giving due importance to its own investors who have the capabilities to bring drastic change in the present scenario vis-a-vis existing economic crisis.
Muni A Khan said that the LCCI should also take concrete steps to boost the confidence of the local investors, adding that the Chamber should arrange conferences and seminars in which foreign investors should be invited, hence, polling of views would be greatly helpful to manage the problem.
He said that The Founders after wining LCCI election would create a sense of protection for the local investors and motivate them to start new mega projects in the country. He further said that there are number of ventures for new investments are available in the Punjab and the provincial government is also ready to facilitate the investors. Thus, the investors should get advantages of the provincial government, he added.
