Business activities remained suspended in Chak Jhumra Town, here on Tuesday, in protest against murder of an Auto workshop owner, Bisharat Bajwa, who was gunned down by three motorists in Muzaffar colony. According to details, just after this brutal murder, all shops in the area were closed and traders and citizens staged protest demonstration.
They burnt tyres in the middle of the roads and staged protest sit in of railway track linked with Lahore and Faisalabad. Train service and traffic remained suspended for more than two hours. Protesters strongly demanded that the responsible murderers should be apprehended immediately. Chak Jhumra Police has registered a murder case and no arrest has been reported so far. Police stated that this murder was a part of old enmity between two groups of transporters.
