Buses for Liaqatpur colleges urged

There is only one college each for boys and girls in Tehsil Liaqatpur, with no transport facility for the students of this mostly rural lower middle class area, who come from far and near to avail higher education.
Local residents in a press conference in Liaqatpur said that while government colleges in the other Tehsils had been provided buses to facilitate students of remote areas, there was no college bus even for the girls of this Tehsil, and many rural families were against sending their children on public transport. Besides, they added, public transport put another financial burden on parents who were barely affording college expenses of their kids. They urged the education department to allocate separate buses for the two colleges to facilitate the students and ensure promotion of higher education for the local youth.
