Asian physical rubber prices were mostly steady on Wednesday, supported by supply tightness due to rain in many major producing countries including Thailand, the world's largest. The rainy season in the south of Thailand, where the bulk of its rubber is grown, usually starts in October and runs into late November.
Some traders have said that Thailand's USS rubber prices could remain high for a while, although there was the possibility they might succumb to the weakness of Tokyo rubber futures.
