The Karachi Port handled 118,715 tonnes of cargo including 71,410 tonnes of import, 47,305 tonnes of export, 5,589 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The freights comprised of 98,915 tonnes of dry cargo including 73,432 tonnes of general cargo; 8,061 tonnes of wheat; 3,209 tonnes of fertiliser; 8,845 tonnes of cement; 5,140 tonnes of clinker; 228 tonnes of rice and 19,800 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Loa, Sinar Bintan, Bunga Teratai-3, Jhon Gr, Nikolaos P and Dija Bhum sailed out to sea during the reported period. Seven vessels viz Longfin, Cape Negro, Dija Bhum, Rising Om, Morning Seagul, Atlantic Express and As Mars are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely As Mars, Apl Zircon, X-Press Khyber, Clean Seas and Rising Om expected to sail on Wednesday while two vessels viz Atlantic Express and Hanjin Calcutta expected to sail on Thursday. Four ship namely Hyundai Baron, Northern Harmony, Sima Pride and Island Star due to arrive on Wednesday while two ships namely Nordwoge and Kang Sheng Kou are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 130,913 tonnes including 116,490 tonnes of import 14,423 tonnes of export cargo and 2,688 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The cargoes comprised of 19,761 tonnes of wheat; 49,986 tonnes diesel oil; 9,997 tonnes of palm oil; 10,736 tonnes of iron ore; 2,975 tonnes of cement and 37,458 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two ships namely CV MSC Alpana and MT Chem Route Sun sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning while two more ships namely MT Al-Salam-II and MV Maersk Deva are expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total of ten ships namely Voc Progress, Darya Radhe, Pearl River, Gladiator, Sulawesi, Alpha Afovos, Ym Cultivation, ACX Tsubaki, Gan Bake San and Musan carrying wheat, palm oil, coke, coal, containers and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV Maersk Deva, CV MSC Alpana, MV Aqua Star, MV Maria-V, MV Tan An Hai, MT Chem Route Sun, MT Al-Salam-II and MV Iran Tabas are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, furnace oil and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Two ships namely CV ACX Tsubaki and MT Sulawesi Palm are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Wednesday. Container vessel viz CMA CGM Eiffel is due to arrive on Wednesday while two more container ships namely Apl Almandine and MSC Finland are due to arrive on Thursday.
