PPP Central Executive Committee (CEC) and Federal Council (FC) have planned to observe of the forthcoming first death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto on December 27. Provincial President, PPP, Punjab, Rana Aftab Ahmed has asked all the district and Tehsil organisations to organise the meetings to pay special homage to Benazir Bhutto and observe her first death anniversary in befitting manner.
Secretary General, PPP, Jahangir Badr has asked all members of the CEC and FC to attend the meeting. "Benazir Bhutto laid down her life for the cause of democracy and to improve the lot of the deprived and the dispossessed. It is incumbent upon every one of us to observe her death anniversary in a befitting manner".
Moreover, he said that the PPP was the only political party whose two successive chairpersons sacrificed for the sack of democracy and up gradation of standard of living of poor people, therefore, it should be prime responsibility of all to acknowledge their services and sacrifices in an honourable way. He also asked the members to come prepared with their suggestions and recommendations.
