Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate, Rawalpindi and Jinnah Society have reached an agreement for disseminating information about Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and propagating his principles, ideals and vision in Pakistan as a nation building exercise.
According to a press release issued by the Jinnah Society here on Sunday, as a result of mutual agreement between Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate, Rawalpindi and the Jinnah Society with regard to disseminating information about Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and propagating his principles, ideals and vision in Pakistan as a nation building exercise, the Jinnah Society has, at the request of Director General ISPR, has supplied 500 complimentary copies of the M.A Jinnah CDs and 500 complimentary copies of 'Quotes from the Quaid'.
The ISPR has commenced circulation of M.A Jinnah CDs and "Quotes from the Quaid" to officers proceeding aboard on different posts and has also placed them in M.A Jinnah CDs and "Quotes from the Quaid" extensively in Pakistan and abroad for the benefit Pakistanis who are residing overseas, as well as others who may be interested in learning more about Pakistan and its founding father with particular reference to his vision of Pakistan.
Efforts will also be made by ISPR and the Jinnah Society to expand the areas of circulation of the M.A Jinnah CDs and "Quotes form the Quaid" throughout Pakistan as both institutions are convinced that this will constitute a good nation building exercise, which is the need of the present time.
Earlier, the Jinnah Society had, at the request of the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, provided 500 complimentary copies of the M.A Jinnah CDs.
The government had undertaken to distribute the CDs to Pakistani Missions abroad and government departments on the eve of Pakistan's 60th Anniversary in August 2007 for the purpose of dissemination of information and creation of awareness of the historical work of the founder of the nation.
Liaquat Merchant, the President of the Jinnah Society stated that collaboration with ISPR will continue and expressed deep appreciation for the efforts made by Major General Athar Abbas, the Director General ISPR.
