At the outset, I am pleased to express my best congratulations and felicitatins to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on the occasion of 38th National Day of the Great Sultanate of Oman.
I further take this opportunity to present my best compliments to the Government and people of Sindh for their generosity and good reception which I acknowledge with sincerity and thanks to my colleagues and honorary consul generals and businessmen community, offered to me from the day I landed at city of Karachi.
The Sultanate of Oman is one of the six Gulf Arab States which is distinct in its geographical nature, famous for tourist attractions such as high mountains and valleys and highlands and clear sandy coastal areas. In addition, Forts and Castles and ancient Archeological sites, scattered all over Sultanate of Oman, are additional attractions.
It should be noted that deep sense of security and attainment of tranquillity, found in the citizens and residents of the territory of the Sultanate of Oman, is the result of guidance produced by the government of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, which is most characteristic in nature and it is a blessed feature, which is properly planned and its effectiveness is enjoyed by the people. These are the main pillars of progress and prosperity of the citizens of Oman.
The visions of future is based on such factors to boost economy and development of the country in general and, per capita income in particular, and to help our people to attain high standards of living like many other developed nations and provide enough structure to stand upon firmly. These developments plans are based on the practical implementation of laws and general situation of law and order in the country.
During last 3 decades, Omani government concentrated on the development of business and economical relations regionally and internationally in order for the development of political socio-economic relations in conformity with the development of international competition of the open market.
Furthermore, Karachi is the business center and capital of economical activities of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This has been our motive to strengthen the existing Economic co-operation and meet, with the same view, the international issues. We give preference to the strategic economic relations so that the development of the two Countries reach its internal goal in general and, to meet the standards suggested by WTO, in particular.
In fact, our relations are deeply rooted and fully resonate with each other on regional and international point of views. A good number of Omani nationals live in Pakistan and equal number of Pakistanis live in Oman. These factors encourage more investments in different fields which are available in the two countries.
For example, Pak-Oman Company, Shoaib Amin petrochemical company and Oman International Bank further provides conveniences to foreign investors in Oman. At the end, I would like to thank all my Pakistani friends for their whole hearted participation in this honourable occasion.
