Turkey is keen to promote bilateral ties and co-operation with Pakistan in various sectors, particularly in technical education and culture. These views were expressed by the leader of a 32-member visiting Turkish delegation and Chairman of Pak-Turk Foundation, Unal Tosur, while speaking at a reception hosted by National Vocational & Technical Education Commission (Navtec) here on Monday, says a release issued here on Tuesday.
Expressing the desire of Turkish business community to invest in Pakistan, Unal hoped that the investors would be facilitated in the country. He also suggested the bilateral visits of university students between the two countries under bilateral exchange programme. He was confident that these visits would enhance cultural relations and would make a positive impact on economic ties.
Earlier, welcoming the Turkish delegation, Executive Director of Navtec Muhammad Athar Tahir said: "We are trying to establish strong links between technical trained workforces of Pakistan with Turkish business community."
Outlining the objectives of the establishment of Navtec, Tahir said that all possible efforts would be made to upgrade the level of technical education in the country at the desired level. He suggested more co-operation between the two countries in technical education and vocational fields. Later, he presented souvenirs to Chairman of Pak-Turk Foundation Unal Tosur and Turkish businessman in Home Textile Ali Yalandag.-PR
