NWFP Minister for Social Welfare and Women Development, Sitara Ayaz on Tuesday constituted a three-member committee to identify the services of outstanding women of NWFP for the award in different fields at national and international level.
The committee comprising Rakshanda Naz, head of Aurat Foundation, Rahimullah Yousafzai, senior journalist and Resident Editor of 'The News' and Zubida Khatoon. The Female Award is being introduced for the first time in the province for encouraging women with outstanding performance. The minister had a meeting with a three-member award committee and directed the members to submit their proposals in this regard as early as possible. Initially, the award distribution will be held in three years and then it will be held every year.
