Fire-fighters have extinguished the fire that has damaged a portion of a computer office on the second floor of Land Mark Plaza located at I I Chundrigar road, fire brigade sources said here on Tuesday. Chief fire officer, Saleem Ehtesham, said that fire-fighters broke the windows and walls to make way to enter the premises.
The owner of the Ideal Distributors Ltd had closed the windows by erecting walls and blocked cross ventilation, he added. "We have used snorkel and five fire tenders to extinguish fire. However, it took a lot of time to enter office to control the fire", Ehtesham said. He said that fire fighters also rescued three persons from 7th floor with the help of snorkel. We are now cooling down the premises, he added.
