National Database & Registration Authority (Nadra) has suspended its services of Online Verifications (Verisys) to all those clients who failed to renew the service agreement despite several reminders and notices. The decision was made during a high level meeting held under the chairmanship of Ali Arshad Hakeem.
Since the facility of Verisys provides personal info of the citizens while security of personal data is paramount for Nadra, the clients had to sign a service agreement so that the data of any individual is not misused. An advertisement was also published in press on November 1, 2008 as a reminder to clients for renewal of contracts. Nadra had forwarded contracts for renewal to all of its Verisys clients for signing, however some of the clients did not respond to numerous reminders.-PR
