The Chief Engineer Irrigation, Kotri Barrage Hyderabad, has notified land lords, cultivators and all concerned that Kotri barrage canals will remain closed with effect from the 23rd December 2008 to 7th January 2009 for normal inspection and maintenance of the infrastructure.
He further said that the gates of the barrage will be raised gradually from 12.0 midnight between 22 and 23 December 2008, while lowered again from 12.0 midnight from 6 to 7 January 2009.
Furthermore, he informed that for this period there will be no flow of water in any of the off-taking canals ie Akram Wah (Lined Channel), Old Fuleli (Pinyari canal), New Fuleli (Fuli canal), K B Feeder Upper, Wadhu Wah and Fasadi Wah.
