Investigation Police Shalimar have busted a gang of criminals involved in a number of incidents of street crimes and arrested its three members and seized cell phones and illegal weapons from them. The accuseds have confessed to number of incidents of street crimes during preliminary interrogation.
According to the details, Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore directed SP Investigation Civil Lines Division Dr Haidar Ashraf to take affective measures for curbing crimes in Civil Lines division.
A special team was constituted under the supervision of DSP Shalimar, Rana Muhammad Azeem comprising Incharge Investigation, Inspector Muhammad Asif and other officials which collected the particulars of Sohail alias Bubba gang and arrested its three felons from Aalia Town graveyard on a tip-off. The criminals of this gang used to hire motorcycles on rent and snatched cash and valuable for the passers-by at gunpoint.
The criminals are history sheeters and 19 cases have been traced against them in Shalimar, Baghbanpura, Mughalpura, Ghari Shaho, Harbanspura and Ghaziabad police station. The police have recovered two cell phones, three pistols and bullets from their possession. The arrested were identified as ringleader Akram Sohail alias Bubba, Muhammad Ilyas and Muhammad Safdar. Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police team.
