Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussein on Monday said that the whole nation is united and fully prepared to foil any aggression. He said this while addressing a meeting of his party leaders held at his residence, here on Monday, sources in the PML-Q told Business Recorder.
The meeting discussed the country's current situation and held consultation about the national security conference convened by Prime Minister on Tuesday to discuss the situation emanating out of the terror strike in Mumbai and to evolve a consensus policy to tackle accusations from India.
Addressing the gathering, Shujaat said that there is need of national solidarity at this critical juncture, therefore, all the political parties must talk about national interests raising above from self-interests. The whole nation is united from Khyber to Karachi, he added.
The meeting also expressed concern over Karachi situation and called for maintaining atmosphere of peace and brotherhood to foil designs of enemy. Among others, the consultative meeting of the PML-Q was attended by Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Chaudhry Amir Hussein, Hamid Nasir Chattha, SM Zafar, Ijaz ul Haq, Tariq Azeem, Nasrullah Dreshak, Naeed Chattha, Humayun Akhter Khan, Afzal Sahi, Senator Shehnaz Sheikh, Sahahna Farooqi.
