'Ronaldinho and Friends' arrive in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Eight top footballers from around the world, including Brazilian legend Ronaldinho have arrived in Pakistan on Saturday for two exhibition matches.
The players, who will play with a group of Pakistani players for two seven a side matches in Karachi and Lahore, reached Islamabad early Saturday morning via a private jet.
Pakistan Army arranged security for the visiting footballers and the event was made possible only after its security clearance.
COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa will also host a reception in honour of the visiting footballers later in the morning before the group flies to Karachi for the inaugural game of "Ronaldinho and Friends".
The "Ronaldinho and Friends" lineup includes Roberto Carlos, Nicolas Anelka, Ronaldinho, Robert Pires, Luis Boa Morte, David James, George Boateng, and Ryan Giggs.
Pakistani players in action with them will be Kaleemullah, Saddam Hussain, Saadullah, Yousuf Butt, Abdul Aziz, Muhammad Essa, Ghulam Rasool, and star of street child football team Mohammad Razzik.
