The SP CIA, Muhammad Umer Virk has registered a case against five CIA police officials arrested them on charge of taking bribe from a citizen at gunpoint. According to the details, one Muhammad Kashif, resident of district Sheikhupura, submitted an application to the SP CIA against those officials, stating that that he is running a business of artificial jewellery.
A month ago he was coming to Lahore along with his relatives. As he reached Saggeian bridge five police officials, one in police uniform whereas four were in plain clothes, stopped Kashif and his relatives and searched their car and found artificial jewellery.
They accused him of being involved in fake jewellery business and took them to Darbar Haydar Sain in the Lorry Adda area where they snatched Rs 32, 000 cash, one wrist watch, a trousers and shirt at gun point and later released them. On complaint of the Kashif, the SP CIA conducted an enquiry and found all the five officials guilty. He registered a case against Constable Javed Ahamd, Rana Ayub, Amjad, Saleem and one unknown person in PS Lorry Adda.
