The Karachi Port handled 117,138 tonnes of cargo including 94,621 tonnes of import, 22,517 tonnes of export, 4,860 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The freights comprised of 91,838 tonnes of dry cargo including 56,895 tonnes of general cargo; 2,634 tonnes of wheat; 18,000 tonnes of coal; 4,705 tonnes of fertilizer; 3,276 tonnes of sulpher; 6,328 tonnes of cement and 25,300 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Eight ships namely Apl Zircon, Harmony, Sari, YM Miland, Hanjin Qingdao, Hyundai Qingdao, Myong San and Adriatic Arrow sailed out to sea during the reported period. Five vessels viz Lalazar, Hyundai Baron, Oel Transworld, Wan Hai-509 and Southern Bull are currently at the berths.
Five ship namely Hyundai Baron, Oel Transworld, Anton Topic, H&H Tide and Faial expected to sail on Thursday while another three vessels viz Wan Hai-509, Southern Bull and Lalazar expected to sail on Friday. Two ships namely Ts Dubai and Eastern Fortis due to arrive on Thursday while six vessels viz Lucky 7, Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, Sima Sahba, Bunga Bidara, Suez Express and Amiya Scan are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 37,304 tonnes including 21,725 tonnes of import 15,579 tonnes of export cargo and 2,012 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Thursday.
The cargoes comprised of 5,000 tonnes of palm oil; 4,577 tonnes of cement; 238 tonnes of project cargo and 27,489 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three ships namely CV CMA CGM Kingston, MT World Bridge and MV Liparit sailed out to sea on Thursday.
A total of six ships namely Maersk Novazzano, Ibn Al-Abbar, CSAV Teno, Coral, Alpha Afovos and Sun Benjamin carrying containers, cement, coke and edible oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz CV ACX Refflesia, CV CMA CGM Kingston, MT Orien-II, MV Gemini-I, MV Liparit and MT World Bridge are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo and palm oil respectively during the report period.
Four ships namely CV CSAV Teno, CV Ibn Al-Abbar, CV Lahore Express and MT Sun Benjamin carrying containers and edible oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Marginal Wharf-1 respectively on Thursday.
Two vessels viz MT Al-Deerah and MV Sea Venture aare due to arrive on Thursday Six ships namely Tourloti, Eastern Tera, Sigas Moud, Bow Ophelia, Maersk Georgia and Maersk Damietta carrying wheat, MEG, VCM, paraxline and containers are also due to arrive.
