Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday rejected the allegation levelled against party chief Nawaz Sharif that he had illegally migrated his daughter from one Medical college to another by using his influence during his first stint as prime minister.
Addressing a press conference, PML-N Secretary Information Ahsan Iqbal termed the allegation as baseless and part of the malicious campaign against the party chief.
He said that the migration was done on mutual basis. "One student, belonging to Rawalpindi was interested to migrate from King Adwards Medical College, Lahore to Army Medical College Rawalpindi", he clarified.
He further said that government using such tactics to settle the scores with opposition and trying to burry the issue of Farah Hameed Dogar under the carpet.
He challenged the propagators to bring the facts to limelight about the allegation if any. Ahsan added that the migration process was done as per the rules and regulations.
Commenting on the recent interview of Nawaz Sharif to Indian press, he said it was misquoted as he never stated that Pakistan is a failed state. He also said that Indian press should stop propaganda against Pakistan and its leadership by making issues controversial. PML-N is not criticising the government rather it reminds the government to fulfil its commitments made with the masses on various occasions, he concluded.
