The Chairman, Task Force for essential items and administrator Food Support Scheme Punjab, S A Hameed has directed the officials of postal department to ensure delivery of money orders of deserving Christians in next few days so that they could happily participate in the festivities.
Presiding over a meeting in this regard on Saturday, he said that the postal departments should take special and emergent steps in this regard. He said that poor and deserving 12,00,000 families were being extended Rs 1000 per month under food support scheme and government was spending Rs 2 billion per annum on it.
