Emergency cell to help livestock farmers established

Director Animal Husbandry Sindh Dr Ghulam Sarwar Shaikh has said that in wake of possible outbreak of contagious diseases among livestock due to weather change and rainy season, an emergency cell has been established at the Directorate of Animal Husbandry Sindh, Hyderabad with telephone No 022-9200098 to help the livestock farmers.
Dr Sarwar Shaikh said that due to present rains and cold weather it was possible that immunity of animals be lowered and contagious diseases may affect the livestock. He advised the livestock farmers to keep their animals at higher places in dry sheds and avoid keeping at marshy, unhygienic places.
