The advisor to Prime Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain along with Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad visited Korangi to assess the damages caused by rupture of Parco oil pipeline.
According to a statement issued here, Dr Asim Hussain on the special instructions of the President of Pakistan announced compensation package for the affected residents of the area. Government will provide Rs 10,000 to each affected family as per compensation package, the advisor added. The advisor was informed by MD SSGC and Parco that SSGC, Parco and the District Government worked day and night to clean and paint the area. Residents were also provided food and clean drinking water, MD SSGC Omair Khan added. -PR
