Interpol has expressed satisfaction over measures taken by Pakistan in connection with the Mumbai carnage. During his meeting with Interpol Secretary General Ronaldo K Noble, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik said India did not provide any concrete evidence about Pakistan's involvement in Mumbai attacks.
Ronaldo is visiting Islamabad with a five-member delegation of the Interpol. The Interpol delegation visited India on Monday and held meetings with Indian authorities regarding the investigation of Mumbai terrorist strikes. Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah, Director General of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Tariq Pervaiz assisted Rehman Malik in the meeting with Interpol delegation.
The Interpol chief informed Rehman Malik about the Indian stance on the issue. Malik said steps were taken against Jama'at-ud-Da'awa (JuD) in accordance with United Nations rules. Pakistan was investigating, but so far India had not provided any concrete proofs, he said. Malik told the Interpol chief that no substantial evidence, produced by India to Pakistan about alleged links of Pakistani nationals in Mumbai attacks.
