He lauded the efforts of Provincial Culture Department for arranging different programmes to pay homage to Benazir Bhutto on the eve of her first death anniversary and added that sculpture of Benazir Bhutto that got prepared by Provincial Culture Department should remain as the symbol of Benazir's ideology, source of encouragement and strength among the party workers and history for the present and coming generations as well.
Later, the Provincial Minister for Home Zulfiqar Mirza addressing the inaugural ceremony said that Benazir Bhutto was well aware that she would be martyred but she didn't care about and came to Pakistan to save the Pakistan. He said that the assassination of Benazir was a conspiracy to break the Pakistan but such nefarious designs were foiled by Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari by raising slogans of "Pakistan Khapey."
He said that now it is our responsibility not only to strengthen the country but to strengthen the poor people, democracy and ideology of Benazir among the masses. The Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism Saussui Palijo said that it was the only case in the history of politics that a daughter had sacrificed for her nation as sacrificed by her father.
She said that today Pakistan was facing internal threats in the name of extremism, terrorism and external threats in the shape of surgical strikes but it was the only PPP government that was to coup these challenges.
