Senate Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro and Deputy Chairman Senate Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali on Friday expressed their deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Saleem Gilani, former Director General, Radio Pakistan and an eminent broadcaster, poet and scholar, who breathed his last in Lahore on Thursday.
In their separate message of condolence, the Chairman and Deputy Chairman eulogised the services rendered by late Gilani especially in the sphere of broadcasting and media development and prayed for eternal salvation of the departed soul. They offered their heartfelt condolences to the family members and prayed to Allah Almighty to grant them fortitude to bear this loss with equanimity.
