The Karachi Port handled 80,821 tonnes of cargo including 57,217 tonnes of import, 23,604 tonnes of export, 1,881 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The freights comprised of 38,700 tonnes of dry cargo including 25,154 tonnes of general cargo; 13,546 tonnes of bulk cargo and 42,121 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships sailed out to sea during the reported period. Four vessels are currently at the berths. Two vessels viz Hua Seng and Noble Coral are expected to sail on Saturday. Seven vessels viz Al-Marwah, Chemway Lara, Champion Pioneer, Green Valley, Jakarta Express, Blida and Dogmar are due to arrive on Saturday.
Three vessels viz Oriental Tulip, Abtin 1 and Flag Investor are due to arrive on Sunday while another three ships namely Oel Transworld, Seven Seas Aurora and CSAV Laja are due to arrive on Tuesday.
