A member of National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs on Monday expressed concern over not summoning of the committee meeting despite the fact that the country is facing tough challenges relating to foreign affairs these days.
In his letter, written to Asfandyar Wali Khan, chairman foreign affairs committee, MNA Muhammad Asad Khan expressed deep concern over the indifferent attitude of the committee chairman for not summoning the meeting. "This situation is even more worrisome in view of the fact that the country is in the midst of crises on foreign front," he said in his letter.
He also underlined the crises happened after Mumbai carnage, frequent drone attacks in Fata and settled areas of Pakistan and UNSC resolution favourable to India and extremely harmful to Pakistan. He said that in view of all these occurrences, the committee has not convened any meeting to discuss the challenges faced by the nation, which is highly deplorable.
