Federal Minister for Agriculture, Food and Livestock, Nazar Muhammad Gondal visited the Agribusiness Support Fund (ASF) and Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Board (PHDEB) offices here on Friday. Speaking on this occasion, he said that the government was paying special attention for the development of agriculture in the country.
He said that the government was determined to improve the living standard of the farmers. He said that the government wanted to ensure better return to the farmers of their produce. He termed the marketing of agri -produce as the biggest problem of the agricultural sector.
He urged the PHDEB authorities to look for new markets for exporting mango, kinnow and other fruits from the country. The Minister also called for adopting latest techniques in the farming to enhance per acre yield. He also said that better seeds should be used for increasing the production and then adopting better marketing strategies to earn for them.
