The Institute of Sindhology University of Sindh has organised an exhibition of rare photographs, paintings and letters of Benazir Bhutto at Benazir Bhutto Gallery. Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism Sindh Sassui Palejo and Sindh University Vice Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui inaugurated the exhibition.
A large number of scholars, educationist and students as well as people from different walks of life from province of Sindh visited the exhibition.
A number of 170 very rare photographs of Benazir Bhutto, which were donated by Benazir Bhutto for the Institute were displayed at the exhibitions. These photographs are related during the time of Premiership and also visits of different countries and leaders of world like Yasir Arfat, Nelson Mandela, Sokarno, and other Countries. More than 40 letters written by and to Benazir Bhutto by leaders of different Countries were also displayed in the exhibition. As far as 60 paintings of Benazir Bhutto developed by different noted artists were also displayed in the exhibition. She said that Benazir was a great leader and inspiration for the youth specially workers of the PPP. She said that Benazir always struggled for the masses to resolve their problems.
She said that the University of Karachi and University Sindh with collaboration of Sindh Government have established Benazir Chairs and these chairs have been established with objectives to conduct research on life, struggle and vision of Benazir. Sindh University Vice Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui also paid rich tribute to Benazir. The exhibition would continue for month.
