Governor State Bank Saleem Raza called on President Asif Ali Zardari here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday. Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance Shaukat Tarin and Secretary Finance Waqar Masood Khan were also present in the meeting. The President felicitated him for assuming charge of his new responsibilities as Governor State Bank. The Governor State Bank thanked the President for reposing trust in him.
Saleem Raza took over as Governor of the Central Bank last week after the retirement of Ms Shamshad Akhtar. The President enquired about the short term and long term impact of the measures taken by government and the SBP for macro economic stability and infrastructure development.
