Secretary International Affairs of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood has said that PPP has no option but to adhere to Charter of Democracy. Mehmood said that restoration of parliamentary system is essential to save country from crisis. Underling importance of supremacy of parliament, he said, "it is essential to ensure peace, justice and political stability in the country."
He said the policy of taking decisions on important national issues on the basis of linking and disliking of a person is against the spirit of democracy and totally unacceptable. If President Asif Ali Zardari knows assassins of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto why he is not exposing them, he added.
Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood said PML-N would leave no stone unturned for strengthening democracy in the country. He said the PML-N showed extreme patience, but Asif Ali Zardari failed to honour promises to restore judges. He said the PML-N leadership's policy of politeness should not be misconceived as its weakness, adding PML-N did not want to repeat politics of 80s and 90s.
