LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Thursday said the elements indulged in negative politics at the cost of public welfare and development of the country were doing enmity with the country.
The CM expressed these remarks during a meeting with Ijaz-ul-Haq, Member National Assembly who called on him here.
Different matters of mutual interest and political situation of the country were discussed in the meeting. Talking on the occasion, the chief minister said the sit-in party conspired during the last four years to obstruct the speedy journey of development and prosperity but with the grace of Allah Almighty and public support, all these conspiracies remained unsuccessful.
He said the elements indulged in negative politics of agitation and chaos were in fact afraid of development in the country and enemies of welfare and prosperity and also intend to create hurdle in the gigantic CPEC project.
The CM said chaos in the name of changing destiny of the country was against national interest and the conscious people of Pakistan would not become part of negative agenda of these political elements nor would they ever be.
He said the government had achieved wonderful success in every sector during the last four years under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the country was economically more stable, peaceful and secure as compared to 2013.
"Pakistan belongs to all of us and we have to make it better, he said, adding everyone has to play positive and proactive role to make the country move further," he added.
