Chicago Board of Trade soybeans were strong midday Tuesday, led by the January contract which was up at least 30 cents at $10.13-3/4 a bushel. The market was technically strong with January touching a $10.16 high, nearing its 100-day moving average of $10.18-3/4, amid fresh buying interest by commodity funds, traders said.
Soybeans were supported by strong Chinese demand for US soy, concerns about dry weather hurting South American crop yields and a higher crude oil market.
