The top teams of four centers will qualify for coming National U-13 Festival of Football when third edition of PFF U-13Youth Cup will be played simultaneously at 11 venues from 10th-19th January 2009. The main feature of the event is the first-time entry of ILO-formed team, which will play as Sialkot Blue.
THE VENUES ARE: Chaman, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Nowshera, Bannu, Lahore, Sargodha, Karachi, Sahiwal and Faisalabad. The players born on or after 1 January 1996 will be eligible in PFF Cup as Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) had decided to make it U-13 show to correspond coming National U-13 Festival of Football. The age limit was U-18 and U-14 during previous two editions in 2007.
PFF launched the event under the directive of PFF President in July 2007 to analyze the movement and commitment of 26 youth football coaches working under the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) AID-27 Financial Assistance Scheme.
"All the AID-27 coaches, working at different centers of the country, have been asked to shape their teams which will help us to analyze what progress they have made so far in imparting training to the young footballers of different age groups. The top teams of four centers will qualify for National U-13 Festival of Football at Model Town Football Academy, Lahore," said PFF Secretary General Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Yar Khan Lodhi (Retd).
