Balochistan cabinet on Saturday approved restoration of divisional commissionerate system in the province. The cabinet meeting which was presided over by Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Khan Raisani also recommended reinstatement of district magistrate system which would play a key role in improvement of law and order situation of the province and provide relief to common man.
The meeting expressed reservations over abolition of Qazi Courts in Gwadar, Khuzdar, Panjgur, Naseerabad, Sibi and Turbat and stressed their restoration. Highlighting the importance and sacredness of 'Shariat Law' Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Khan Raisani stressed immediate restoration of Qazi Courts in these areas. The meeting discussed construction of a large water reservoir at Hangol, district Lasbella with the assistance of the federal government.
"For this purpose the previous government had cancelled the allotment of land to the Pakistan Air Force", the meeting was informed. After completion, this dam would irrigate more than 0.1 million acres of land. The cabinet also decided to remove ban on transfers and postings of grade 17 government officials and audit of district governments and councillors.
