The Karachi Port handled 95,826 tonnes of cargo including 59,103 tonnes of import and 36,723 tonnes of export, 3,686 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The freights comprised of 84,826 tonnes of dry cargo including 50,441 tonnes of general cargo; 600 tonnes of wheat; 20,041 tonnes of coal; 2,262 tonnes of S B Meal; 11,312 tonnes of cement; 170 tonnes of rice and 11,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Cosco Karachi, Global Progress, Lucky-7, Apl Dalian and Sinar Bintan sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Five vessels viz Sinar Bintan, Global Progress, CSAV Lonquimay, Apl Dalian and Seabulk Challenge are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Resolve, Shayan 1, Vinh Hung and Deja Bhum expected to sail on Tuesday while another five vessels viz Addarraq, Hadrian, Sima Sahba, Cape Negro and Blida are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Six vessels viz Lalazar, Apl Yokohama, Ninos, Cape Negro, Resolve and African Ibis due to arrive on Tuesday while seven ships namely North Pole, Rising Sun, Apl Zircon, Wan Hai-307, Hyundai Admiral, Ariana and Adriatic Arrow are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 26,431 tonnes including 16,031 tonnes of import 10,400 tonnes of export cargo and 1,061 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The cargoes comprised of 2,675 tonnes of wheat; 2,311 tonnes of palm Oil; 1,500 tonnes of chemicals; 885 tonnes of cement; 4,499 tonnes of rice and 14,661 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two ships namely Sigas Maud and Nedlloyd Honshu sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning while another ship namely MV Produce expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total of eleven ships namely Berd Yansk, New Setokaze, African Ibis, Sun Rise Humanise, Eastern Tera, Atromitos, Al-Soor-II,ST Ace-2, Maersk Ohio, Niel River and Sun Rise Acacia carrying cement, palm oil, chemicals, Iron Ore, diesel oil, containers, Dredger and edible oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz CV Nedlloyd Honsu, MV Super Star-III, MV Sargodha, MV Yakima Prices, MV Produce and MT Sigas Maud are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, wheat, palm oil and chemicals respectively during the report period.
Four ships namely Maersk Ohio, Atromitos, ST Ace-II and New Setokaze scheduled to load/offload containers, iron ore, diesel oil and palm oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
