Saudi intelligence chief Prince Muqran bin Abdul Aziz has assured his country's full co-operation to Pakistan in elimination of terrorism and extremism. He stated this during a meeting with advisor to Prime Minister on Interior, Rehman Malik here on Wednesday.
Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah, DG National Crisis Management Cell, Tariq Lodhi and a five-member Saudi team also participated in the meeting. Saudi intelligence chief appreciated the efforts of Pakistani law enforcement agencies in combating terrorism and normalising the law and order situation in the country. He said that Saudi Arabia wants to further enhance defence co-operation with Pakistan. Rehman and Muqran also discussed matters of mutual interest and ways to bolster bilateral trade and economic co-operation between the two countries. Rehman Malik informed the Saudi intelligence chief about the operation against extremists and terrorists in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the delegations of the two sides also held talks and exchanged information to curb terrorism and extremism. The sides also discussed issues pertaining to co-operation and training of the law enforcement agencies.
