Two unknown motorcyclists gunned down Shaikh Zaid Hospital administrator Dr Abdul Saboor early morning Friday near Model Town. Dr Saboor, 47, was on his way to the hospital from his residence at Model Town when two unknown miscreants on motorcyclists stopped him near New Garden Town and opened fired on him. He was shot in the head and died on the spot.
Police have registered a criminal case and started investigation into the matter. Heirs of the doctors said that they have no enmity with any one. DIG investigation Mushtaq Sokhara however commenting on the incident termed it a targeted killing, and said it might be a result of personal enmity.
Zaid hospital doctors blocked the road and protested against his murder. They demanded immediate arrest of the culprits. He was buried in a local graveyard and all prominent doctors and elite of the city joined his funeral procession.
