The Karachi Port handled 33,584 tonnes of cargo including 24,573 tonnes of import and 9,011 tonnes of export, 1,338 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The freights comprised of 30,584 tonnes of dry cargo including 20,039 tonnes of general cargo; 3,133 tonnes of wheat; 7,412 tonnes of cement and 3,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Four ships namely Centaurus Leader, New Setokaze, Adriatic Arrow and Ariana sailed out to sea during the reported period. Three vessels viz Caribbean Carrier, Shintoku and YM Inauguration are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Elena, Shintoku, Pacific Express and YM Inauguration expected to sail on Saturday while another vessel viz Orinoco River is expected to sail on Sunday.
Four vessels viz NCC Asir, Apl Pusan, Liwa and Gan Baek San due to arrive on Saturday while five ships namely Cerigo, Martha Russ, Kota Hormat, Stadt Koin and CS Cihan are due to arrive on Sunday. Seven ships namely Quetta, MT Johar, Rising OM, Andino Park, Siam Sapphire, Mol Admiration and CASV Lacua are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 59,198 tonnes including 36,309 tonnes of import 22,889 tonnes of export cargo and 2,038 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The cargoes comprised of 14,000 tonnes of furnace oil; 3,881 tonnes of wheat; 2,580 tonnes of LPG; 2,750 tonnes of MEG; 2,418 tonnes iron ore; 6,977 tonnes of cement and 26,592 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Six ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Ibn Al-Roomi, MT Eastern Tera, MT St. Kitts, MT Sea Lion and MT Atromitos sailed out to sea on Saturday morning while another ship namely CV Al-Mirqab expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total of ten ships namely Al-Mirqab, MSC Hanne, Ivy Galaxy, Sun Rise Acacia, Al-Soor-II, Al-Salam-II, Berd Yansk, Admas, Rose Anne and Asian Atias carrying containers, palm oil, diesel oil, cement, chemicals and barges respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Ibn Al-Roomi, MV Super Star-III, MV African Ibis, MV Yakima Princess, MT Eastern Tera, MT St. Kitts, MT Sea Lion and MT Atromitos are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, chemicals, LPG, furnace oil and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Six ships namely CV Al-Mirqab, CV MSC Hanne, MT Sun Rise Acacia, MT Rose Anne, MV Ocean Preface and MT Al-Salam-II scheduled to load/offload carrying containers, palm oil, chemicals, coal and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Marginal Wharf-1, EVTL, IOC Berth and Fotco Terminal respectively on Saturday.
One ship namely MV Grietji carrying project cargo is due to arrive on Sunday. Three vessels viz MV Ocean Preface, Southern Bull and Al-Mirqab carrying coal, chemicals and containers respectively are also due to arrive.
