Wei ChuYu, professor of fine arts at Renmin University in China, called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency on Monday. The Chinese Ambassador in Islamabad Luo Zhaohui, Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Shahid Rafi and other officers of relevant ministries were also present on the occasion. Chuyu is known as a 'Painter of Great Men' and is recognised particularly for his vivid oil paintings.
His works of Chinese painting and calligraphy were on display both in China and abroad many times and won him several prizes. The President appreciated the art works of Professor Chuyu and said that cultural exchange between the two countries would further enhance and strengthen the bilateral ties.
