badin-villageBADIN: A large number of villages in district Badin submerged by rainwater and saline water of left bank outfall drain are still under water even after four months of deluge and the villagers are compelled to live a displaced life.

The affected villages include Fakir Haji Dino Umrani, Haji Mattaro, Khair Muhammad Pathan, Peenghar Khaskheli and several other villages of five Dehs (Revenue Unit) namely Peero Lashari, Renbhan, Rojhli, Borandhi and Kheerdahi.

The villagers are suffering from water borne diseases due to stagnant rain and saline water in the area.

The villagers told PPI that there were ways to drain out the water but the irrigation officials and other concerned departments have not taken any steps despite approaching them several times.
